What a year for BOLD Construction!
We worked hard, played hard, and had time to make a positive impact on our community. Join us as we take you through our 2022 journey.
In 2022, we took on an impressive number of 22 new construction and 15 renovation projects—and that’s not even including all the work we’ve got in the pipeline. Currently, we have 14 active new construction jobs and 6 active renovation jobs, and we have over 22 new and reno jobs in our 1-year warranty period. In addition, we moved 4 families into their “forever homes” during one of the most difficult times in the Construction Industry.
We’ve also been incredibly busy behind the scenes. When you break it down, each new construction job or major renovation has over 300 purchase orders or bills associated with it. We have over 50 vendors, trader partners, or distributors for each of these jobs–imagine how many humans actually work on each job. We are processing on average 65 incoming bills/invoices per week–that’s over 3,000 in a single year!
The average cost of our active custom homes is $1.75M, and our average active renovation cost is $700k. We invoice our clients monthly for draws, allowance overage, and invoices–so we’re averaging between 24 and 36 client invoices per month—pushing us through the 300 mark for the year! We have over 60 design selection categories per new construction job, and each category could have between 1 and 20 selections.
We manage all of these jobs, POs, bills, selections, warranty items, dollars, and schedule items with 18 amazing people. We are so grateful for their hard work, dedication, and support of their families, who sacrifice so much time with their loved ones.
Giving back to our local community is important for BOLD Construction, and we are able to do so through our nonprofit, BOLD Foundation. Last year, our team volunteered at the ARC, helping the staff care for the animals, the Books on Break program for the CEF, Habitat for Humanity, and our annual Holiday Cheer program.
Our team was also awarded Best Builder in the 2022 Best of Chatham and Best of Chapel Hill Issues, Best of Houzz 2022, The 2022 Matsumoto Award, and the GOLD Award in Triangle’s 2022 Parade of Homes!
We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished this year, and we’re looking forward to another exciting year ahead!
