Our Home, Too

Deep Roots in Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill has a character all its own. Established neighborhoods sit alongside wooded homesites, and the architecture ranges from traditional Southern residences to distinctly modern homes.

It is also where BOLD began.

Since 1997, our team has lived, worked and built throughout Chapel Hill and the surrounding area. That history gives us an understanding of the properties, communities and local considerations that shape building here, along with relationships that have grown over decades of doing business in the place we call home.

Local Experience Matters Before Design Begins

Wooded and sloped properties are part of what makes Chapel Hill beautiful, but they can also influence grading, access, utilities, stormwater, setbacks and site costs. Evaluating those conditions early gives the design team better information from the beginning.

Our Process

Design and Construction, Working Together From the Start

BOLD brings design, pricing and construction together under one process. That allows decisions about the home, property and investment to inform one another early, before construction begins.

And because BOLD builds with a fixed-price contract, the work that happens during design and pre-construction matters. We develop the plans, scope and pricing in detail before moving into the build.

01

Discovery Meeting

We start with your vision, priorities, investment range, timeline and homesite. If you are still looking for land, we can also discuss what to consider before purchasing a property.

02

Design Agreement

Our team begins developing the architecture and plans for your home while keeping feasibility and investment aligned with the design.

03

Design Development + Fixed Pricing

As the design is finalized, we develop the detailed scope and pricing behind it. The result is a clear fixed-price proposal before construction begins.
